Agia Theodoti Beach

The Beach:
Agia Theodoti Beach is situated to the north of Ios, about 14km from the main village of Chora. It is one of the quieter beaches on the island, and is a large open sandy horseshoe shaped beach with mountains embracing it at both ends of the beach.

Theodoti Beach has beautiful crystal clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkelling, and is a great place for relaxing and sunbathing away from the crowds.

You can also see the 16th century Byzantine church of St. Theodoti on the hillside which is one of the oldest on the Island, and which gave its name to the entire area. There are also ruins of a Hellenistic tower and an ancient aquaduct at Theodoti.

There are sunbeds and umbrellas to rent at Theodoti Beach, and local tavernas serving Greek specialities.
